Hi and welcome to thoughtfultechnologist!
I’m drawn to the patterns hiding in plain sight - the ones that make you pause and think, “Huh, I never looked at it that way before.” That’s what I aim for in every piece I write here: thoughtful content about technology that shifts your perspective just enough to be worth your time.
My journey started with a math degree and evolved over 15 years in IT - from writing my first Java loops as a junior developer, to steering strategy as a CIO and the wild ride of founding a company and successfully exiting. I’ve sat in every chair, debugged every kind of problem (technical and human), and collected a few battle scars along the way.
But beyond the career trajectory, I’m obsessed with learning itself. Not just technology - anything and everything. Over the years, I’ve built systems and frameworks that make learning more effective and, honestly, more enjoyable. I share these in my learning-to-learn sections because if there’s one meta-skill worth developing, it’s learning how to learn.
Here’s my philosophy on AI content: I hate hype, but I love staying informed. That’s why I curate a weekly newsletter called “No Fluff AI” - only the developments that actually matter, with my honest take on what they mean. No breathless enthusiasm, no doom-scrolling anxiety, just signal over noise.
I’m always curious to hear what resonates with you (or doesn’t). Drop me a note with feedback, ideas, or if you’re thinking about collaborating on something interesting - my inbox is open.
