Game analogy: automation, creativity, watching metrics - these are minigames, not the objective. Each has a job. I'd rather they interconnect than fight it out in a round of combat to see which one wins. Each one tickles your brain. Let it. Just don't let one facet dominate the others to their detriment. Every piece is part of the larger whole, not the whole itself.
That includes AI. I treat it like leading a team. What do I need the team doing to keep my velocity up? What does the team do well enough that it frees me to focus on the mindful things, the Miyazaki things, the atmosphere and the craft? Miyazaki had a team. Nobody marks him down for not hand-drawing every frame himself, or for letting actors voice the characters instead of doing it himself.
Don't treat AI as an all-or-nothing. That's a black-and-white argument, and the people actually excelling are working the grey space in between.
thanks! totally agree, gray zone for sure! it was more I guess about the massive content vs writing honestly amd rarely? Internet is so noisy lately and I want exposure but I don't want to join the noise. Figuring out if that's possible
